a lonely sailor took his flight
Where no one could see him

High above the treetops he stayed
’til he heard bells on christmas day
and saw the light as it flashed across the sky

Weary was the sailor on his journey home
the ice looked clean shiny and white
his failing eyes seemed to spy a distant star
so bright so far

The fog rolls slowly in
